As the authors state, however, the text is not intended to be a compendium of radiographic technique. Instead, they present a concise overview of the field of radiology and offer preliminary instruction in the interpretation of basic images. The authors succeed in teaching a commonsense approach to basic medical problems as well, so that the text is especially useful for students in the introduction to clinical medicine segments of their training. Herein lies the strength of the text, and I enthusiastically recommend it.
